Meet The Coach
Hiya, I'm Talia (she/they),

Sometimes I wonder what exactly makes me an expert on bodies, fitness, and movement, and the answer is simple: I have one! I've had it a long time, and I've been training and using it since I was little.
Sports were an integral part of my childhood, from decades of team sports to gymnastics, dance, athletics, and just about anything I could get involved in. But even as a kid, something didn't sit quite right about the way everyone was approaching it. I had a lot of experiences that left me feeling extremely insecure and unhappy with my body, and with a complicated rlationship with exercise.

Fast forward a couple of decades (and a shit load of therapy and self-work), and I'm solid in my confidence and feel healthier physicaly and mentally than I ever dreamed of.
BUT I'm still not happy with the industry: the buzzwords and bullshit, the generic, cookie-cutter path for something that should be as unique and personal as we each are.

So I started TrainWithTalia, sharing what I've learned with those who want to join me in this pursuit of true confidence and mojo. My mission is to provide education and motivation to those who need it and can't find it in the mainstream fitness industry.
It's not just about physical fitness either: one of the most important things my lived experience and degree in Psychology has taught me is that this stuff is all connected. Life's ups and downs are going to have an impact on your relationship with movement and fitness.

Being a trauma-informed coach lets me unpick some of the things getting between you and your goals in and outside the gym, without triggers and trauma making it a miserable experience.

Inclusivity first
The fitness industry isn't for everyone, but fitness is.
As a queer person with late-diagnosed ADHD, I understand what it's like to be left out, unseen, made to feel you don't belong, or made to feel that a space isn't for you.

Years of people calling me disorganised or lazy have radicalised me to make sure that the space I'm creating is for ALL bodies, minds, and people who might need somewhere to feel comfortable, to try something new, and to challenge themselves in a way that's healthy and judgement-free.

If you need a coach who gets it. Who supports you, not pressures you. Who will go out of their way to make you feel seen, respected, and included... then I might be the right choice.
